Lux Magazine makes a funny

Light+Building starts next week in Germany, and Lux Magazine (the European counterpart to the U.S.-focused LEDs Magazine) has a short article by Gordon Routledge that gave me more than one chuckle.

It’s a (only-slightly) tongue-in-cheek “trade show dictionary” with a few nuggets like:

“We are demerging the lamp business.”

Translation: “The Chinese are killing us.”

“We are targeting the horticultural market.”

Translation: “We are making loads of money supplying lamps to cannabis growers.”

“We offer lighting as a service.”

Translation: “Our lights are so expensive the only way we can sell them is to bundle them up in a confusing contract.”

Check out the full article on Lux Review’s website:

And if you’re going to L+B, stop by the OLEDWorks display in Hall 4, Level 1, Booth G62 for a sneak peek at a couple fixtures Visa Lighting will be introducing at Lightfair 2016 in April.
